Production Blog - Music Video

Hi Camination!! Welcome back to my blog,

In this blog, I am going to be talking about the beginning process of my group's music video. For this project, I chose to work in a group of 4 (including me). I believe that we will all contribute something important to the group and end with a great music video. We chose the song 'Infrunami' by Steve Lacy, an artist we all like. The music video will fall under the R&B genre because both the song and artist are part of that genre.

Our original plan was to shoot the music video on the 14-15th of October but due to an emergency, I had to fly out to another state. Therefore, we decided to shoot the video on 28-29th of October which were the backup dates for shooting.

We are also discussing changing our location to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park instead of Holiday Park. This is because Holiday Park is a very popular park which is always full of people making it difficult for us to find a secluded area in which to film. Hugh Taylor Birch State Park offers a bigger area and it would make it easier for us to find a private area to shoot freely without interruptions or background noise.

As a group, we were discussing which apps and tools we could use to edit the video. Our latest project in this class had to do with making a personal commercial, we used different editing apps. But for this project, we all agreed on using CapCut since it is simple and efficient. We are all working cohesively and adding our own flare to the video. I am the one in charge of the music therefore I will make sure that the video works for the song. It is important that the song matches the video unless it would seem like the song and video do not exist in the same world.

We haven't had the chance to record anything but we are ensuring that we are up to date with everything. We have done work behind the scenes in order for the music video to come out great. Down below I inserted an image of the cover of the song just to give an idea of the aesthetic.

So far this is all we have discussed and I know that in the end all of our work will be worth it. Thank you for being part of the process and I hope you guys enjoy the journey and final result!!
