Started Editing- Production Blog

Image
Welcome back to my blog Camination!!! In this blog, I will be updating you guys on our editing process. The process of combining all of our clips into one music video began today. We recently finished filming the video last week, as you may have seen from the earlier updates, so we are now beginning to focus on the actual work. The way our video is edited can make or break its final product, and it must accurately tell the story we played out. Using the storyboard as a guide, we demonstrated how the food that each of us brought to the picnic told a tale of friendship and action. If we were going to serve so much food, we reasoned, why not make the video more lively even if we couldn't finish it all? We're going to use CapCut for editing. We selected this platform based on our prior experience using it for an AICE Media Studies project. So far, we have only created our timeline sequence using our clips. It was crucial to get the footage in sequence because we filmed some of the

The Rest of the Scenes- Production Blog

Welcome back to my blog Camination!!! In the previous blog, I began talking about my process of filming the music video, the beginning scenes, and our individual shots. In this blog, I am going to be continuing the process of filming our music video. After everyone was able to get their perfect individual shot, it was time for the group scenes. My younger sister was there to record these scenes. The hardest group scene had to be the one in which we were all awkwardly looking around without talking. This was the hardest to shoot because we all had to remain focused. We all tried to look in different directions so we did not have to make eye contact because if we had we would have started laughing. But after this specific scene, the rest felt like a breeze. In the next scenes, we could all be talking to each other and eating so those shots were pretty easy to shoot. We just had a regular conversation and joked at times so we could be laughing. After editing, you won't be able to hear

Shooting the Video- Production Blog

Welcome back to my blog Camination!! In this blog, I am going to talk about the process of shooting the music video.  On Tuesday October 24th my group finally got together to record. I had to pick up one of my friends and get the cake for the music video first. We went to our shooting location which was Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. My younger sister went with us so she could record the scenes of the four of us. The first thing we did was set up the picnic with the things we all brought. Aryanna brought chips, plates and utensils. Lyne brought the blanket and some cups. Katherine brought decorations, drinks, and snacks. I brought snacks, decorations and the cake. Katherine and I finished decorating our cake with the songs title on top of it. The icing melted due to the weather so when it was time to record that scene the name was barely visible. We all decided on adding captions for that scene so the viewer can understand what the cake was meant to say.  The first scenes were shots of

Preparations! - Production Blog

Welcome to my blog camination!! In this blog, I will be updating you guys about the process of my music video. We haven’t recorded yet but we are almost done with the behind-the-scenes preparations.  One of my jobs in the group was to get props for the day we shot. Our video setting is a picnic at the park, so I need to ensure we have everything we need. I plan on bringing a basket, fall decorations, and some pillows. There are still a few things I have to buy, but I’ll get them as soon as possible.  One of our most important scenes consists of me smashing cake on my face. I have to make sure I find a cake that fits the theme and aesthetic of the music video. I also have to find a costume that is cohesive yet different. One of the main factors in choosing a costume would have to be that it needs to be able to sustain the mess of a cake.  For the costume, I have many options that could fit the theme of the music video. I believe that a dress or a two-piece set would be comfortable for s

Production Blog - Music Video

Hi Camination!! Welcome back to my blog, In this blog, I am going to be talking about the beginning process of my group's music video. For this project, I chose to work in a group of 4 (including me). I believe that we will all contribute something important to the group and end with a great music video. We chose the song 'Infrunami' by Steve Lacy, an artist we all like. The music video will fall under the R&B genre because both the song and artist are part of that genre. Our original plan was to shoot the music video on the 14-15th of October but due to an emergency, I had to fly out to another state. Therefore, we decided to shoot the video on 28-29th of October which were the backup dates for shooting. We are also discussing changing our location to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park instead of Holiday Park. This is because Holiday Park is a very popular park which is always full of people making it difficult for us to find a secluded area in which to film. Hugh Taylor Bi

Props: The props included in our video will include blankets, food, a phone, and more common objects. Location: The location for filming our music video will be the Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Schedule: Our filming will take place on the 14th-15th of October from 1-3pm both days. Backup Plan:  In the case we are unable to film from the 14th-15th due to any emergency, we will film from the 28th to the 29th of October. In the case we are not allowed to film at Holiday Park, we will choose to film at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Costuming: The costuming that we will be wearing in our music video will consist of typical fall clothing, considering our video is autumn-themed and based on an autumn aesthetic.

Group Blog

Hi Camination! Welcome back to another blog. In this blog, I am going to be discussing my group for the next project. I have decided to pick a group of three to aid me in this project. I believe I will do well in this group because of my background in music. I know that my group wants a song that matches all of our personalities and I have been given the job to find this song. I feel like the song we all agreed on is perfect for us and the idea we have. We all agreed on "Infrunami" by Steve Lacy because of the vibe of the song and the way it matches our music video idea. The song also matches the fall season and we just started the fall season so it's perfect.  One of the group members is Aryanna I feel like she will be a good addition to the group because she has prior knowledge about cameras due to her experience in musical theatre. She has previously worked in front of and behind a camera which I think will aid our group. Aryanna will be able to help film our video wi

Welcome to my blog Camination! My name is Camila  and  I’m  in 10 th  grade .  Something I  can't  live without is music, I enjoy listening  to most genres. Some of my favori te genres are alternative  rock, R&B, hip-hop,  Spanish rock,  and reggaeton.  Some of my favorite things are green, the number 13,  silver jewelry, and  high-top Converse.  Although 13 is  usually known to be  an unlucky number it brings some sort of comfort to me.  When I grow up, I want to be a design architect . My favorite style of architecture is Gothic architecture , I love the intricacies and asymmetry that are shown throughout these buildings. Gothic architecture was prevalent in Europe from the late 12th century to the 16th century. Most of these buildings are still intact. This is one of the main reasons why Europe is one of my most wanted travel destinations.  I wish to live in NYC for a year or two and then move to London.   I have  a lot of plans for my  future,   and  I want  to  accomplish
