  What elements (Conventions) of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?  For this project we chose the thriller genre and the conventions in this movie help build suspense for the audience.  The film uses flashbacks with the present timeline,  exploring the backstory of the Jigsaw Killer and his victims.  This adds depth to the characters,  sheds light on their motivations,  and creates a connection within the narrative.  The film also uses slow zooms on key details,  like ticking timers or hidden clues within the traps.  This builds anticipation and draws the audience's attention to specific elements,  heightening the suspense. Changes from Film Review!

 Hi camination! Welcome to my last production blog regarding my final task! After reviewing Lyne's remarks on our film, Katherine and I made the necessary adjustments. We are extremely grateful that she could assist us. We both feel a great deal of gratitude for her feedback since it truly means a lot to us and we would help her too if she needed it. The scene with the cake and our use of a knife in the kitchen were our first edits. Lyne was right; we agreed that we should eliminate this scene out of all the ones to shorten the movie. All of the ingredient preparation and cutting didn't have to be included. Additionally, after the cake was in the oven, we didn't need to see much of it. We believe that this could heighten the mystery around the movie because we are unsure of how the oven managed to stay on after we reassuringly "took out the cake." Production Blog: Filming

Welcome back Camination!! In this blog I will be updating you guys on the filming of me and Katherine's short film.  We have filmed for two days overall but today I will only be talking about the first day. We began filming February 14, 2024 after school. On this day we wanted to shoot all the scenes that Santiago was in since that was the only day we could see him.  We started by setting up everything he would use in the scenes (markers and paper.) We had to explain to him that all he had to do was draw on the blank piece of paper. It took us a few tries for him to actually draw something that wasn't just scribbles so we ended up helping him. We drew multiple different things that were simple doodles of things like rainbows, cars, trees, and animals.  For Santiago to know what to do we had my mom help explain to him since he is just a toddler.
