Film Review

Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog!!

Katherine and I asked another person to watch our film today and provide feedback once we were done. Katherine and I reviewed the great notes that our friend Lyne returned. Together, we also watched the finished video and discussed potential edits.
One of the first items brought up was the time of our movie. Lyne first mentioned that our film was a little too long. But she did offer some advice on how we could help with this. She suggested the baking scene first.

We intended for the scene to feature the use of a knife as a metaphor for the suspense film, but these sequences simply took up too much time. Lyne said to remove any baking scenes after the cake is placed in the oven. Katherine and I talked about this and considered it.
Another thing to consider was how we used sound effects and may use another free-sounding soundtrack to enhance the mood. We captured many quiet moments on our first watch-through, but they didn't align with our ultimate goal.

We may intensify the atmosphere. We wish to create it by adding one more song.
The film's dramatics will be enhanced by sound effects, which is appropriate for a thriller. Lyne recommended placing them when the oven beeps and the figure appears at the conclusion, among other places. Katherine and I both made a note of this.

Lyne's final recommendation was to include a few filler shots in our montage before we got to the "real" story.
Lyne was aware of our ideas for the first thirty to forty seconds of the movie, but she could not make it come to life. She believed that the image we were attempting to convey would come together with the addition of further photos. Katherine and I finally made note of this. Her ability to provide feedback on our film and assist us in making the film we knew we wanted to make is greatly appreciated. These adjustments will be applied shortly! Thank you!!
