Hi guys! This is the link to my final task, I hope you all enjoy it!!!

Changes from Film Review!

Hi camination! Welcome to my last production blog regarding my final task! After reviewing Lyne's remarks on our film, Katherine and I made the necessary adjustments. We are extremely grateful that she could assist us. We both feel a great deal of gratitude for her feedback since it truly means a lot to us and we would help her too if she needed it. The scene with the cake and our use of a knife in the kitchen were our first edits. Lyne was right; we agreed that we should eliminate this scene out of all the ones to shorten the movie. All of the ingredient preparation and cutting didn't have to be included. Additionally, after the cake was in the oven, we didn't need to see much of it. We believe that this could heighten the mystery around the movie because we are unsure of how the oven managed to stay on after we reassuringly "took out the cake." The sounds were the subject of the following change. We concluded that including an additional song would improve the

Film Review

Hi guys! Welcome back to my blog!! Katherine and I asked another person to watch our film today and provide feedback once we were done. Katherine and I reviewed the great notes that our friend Lyne returned. Together, we also watched the finished video and discussed potential edits. One of the first items brought up was the time of our movie. Lyne first mentioned that our film was a little too long. But she did offer some advice on how we could help with this. She suggested the baking scene first.  We intended for the scene to feature the use of a knife as a metaphor for the suspense film, but these sequences simply took up too much time. Lyne said to remove any baking scenes after the cake is placed in the oven. Katherine and I talked about this and considered it. Another thing to consider was how we used sound effects and may use another free-sounding soundtrack to enhance the mood. We captured many quiet moments on our first watch-through, but they didn't align with our ultimat

Production Blog: Everything we needed!

Hi Camination, welcome back to another blog!! In this blog, I will be explaining all the preparations and props we had to gather for our film.  To begin with, for our props, we used things that we already owned. For example, Katherine brought a box of crayons from her house, which we used for the drawing scenes of the film. Since she brought a brand new box of crayons we wanted them to seem as if they were used. So, we broke some into smaller pieces and ripped some of the paper wrappings to make them look used.  For our costumes, we wanted them to be simple and casual. This is because the setting of our movie is inside a home, meaning there is no need for any extravagant costumes. We wanted the audience to feel like the characters were cozy and comfortable. For Santiago, we wanted him to wear a pair of shorts with a t-shirt to emphasize the comfortability of the film.  The idea for our film was that all of it was during the night time however, we recorded some of the scenes during the

Production Blog: Music choice

Image
Hi camination!! Welcome back to my blog! Katherine and I found the soundtrack to our final film project today. It seems to me to be a wonderful fit for the thriller genre. For our song, we looked for royalty-free music on YouTube. "Creepy, horror, and haunted" was what we were searching for in music. We selected a soundtrack from a selection of excellent music that would enhance the mood of the movie. To save time, we chose music that isn't protected by copyright rather than music that is. Without having to bother with sending an email request, we wanted to be able to choose the music we wanted. We chose the YouTube song "It's in the Fog" by @DarrenCurtisMusic, which is copyright-free. I believe that this song would work the best for our situation out of all the ones we looked at on YouTube. The idea is to have just background noises, like television, drawing, and kitchen noises, throughout the first part of the movie. The opening theme of this song will be
